When it comes to homework, teachers are often in a no-win situation. Educators learn how to deal with the homework dilemma, the four types of homework, what makes a good assignment, and how to encourage parent involvement through homework.
Homework does NOT have to be a daily problem. Parents start by learning strategies for dealing with homework. Then, they learn how one neighborhood bonded together to start their own homework center. Parent Talk sessions are provided.
If homework is causing major stress, this is just the program parents need. They learn about the different types of homework; what should be considered “good” or “bad” homework; why homework doesn’t have to be given every night; and how much help parents should give their children on assignments.
